DOWNTOWN PARKING: The city of Savannah is selling parking spaces at two locations for July Fourth festivities downtown. More details.
PARKING: Savannah International Trade & Convention Center
Parking will be available only on July 4, in the center’s main parking lot from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. A parking fee of $5 per vehicle will be in effect on July 4. Military personnel park free with military ID. Portable toilets will be available in the main parking lot (between Trade Center and Westin Hotel). Trade Center parking lots are intended for parking purposes only and ask patrons to refrain from setting off fireworks, or from use of grills, fires or open-flame devices in these areas.

CAT BUSES: Chatham Area Transit buses will run on a holiday schedule for July 4th. Get details.

County Pride restaurants celebrate Independence Day
Country Pride restaurants around the country are saying thanks to all active duty military and veterans by offering a free breakfast, lunch or dinner all day on the 4th.

Fourth of July Festival on River Street
Fireworks will take place on July 4 from 9:30-10p.m. with live entertainment featured on the Arbor Stage until 11p.m. Then on Friday from noon-7pm, the first ever burger battle, Eat It and Like It competition, will take place with judging. Live music will continue throughout the weekend along with arts & crafts on Rousakis Plaza. Festival Hours are 4-11pm on Thursday, noon-11pm on Friday, 10am-11pm on Saturday, and 10am-5pm on Sunday.

Tybee Island Independence Day Fireworks - FREE!

Savannah Winds Annual Patriotic Concert - SOLD OUT!
RETURNED TICKETS: Armstrong concert event staff members are working to make any returned tickets available for resale online and are advising music patrons to periodically visit the University website at tickets.armstrong.edu to check for newly available seats.
WAITING LIST: On Sunday June 30th beginning at 2 p.m. at the Fine Arts Lobby Box Office, Armstrong concert event staff will sell any returned tickets that become available at that time.

United States Army Brigadier General John Hort will narrate a poem set to America, the Beautiful as part of the Savannah Winds' Annual Patriotic Concert. The Army's 3rd Infantry Division will also detach its Honor Guard to present our great nation's Colors to kick-off the concert in coordination with the Winds' instrumental performance of our spectacular National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner. WTOC TV's Bill Cathcart returns for his tenth stint as master of ceremonies. Regular admission, reserved-seating concert tickets are on sale for only $12-20, with discounts for senior citizens, military personnel, and children/students.

Salute to the Nation Fireworks at Hunter Army Airfield
Soldiers, families and members of surrounding civilian communities are welcome to view the display.

Savannah Mall to sponsor Military Appreciation
The Savannah Mall will honor and salute members of the United States military along with local heroes including police officers, firefighters and emergency responders.

Savannah Mall - Military Appreciation - KIDS EVENT!
In conjunction with Military Appreciation Night, the Savannah Mall invites children to visit a station in the Food Court to make handprints on an 8- x 12-foot flag on Saturday, June 29 from 1-9 p.m. and again on Sunday, June 30, from noon-6 p.m. The flag, which will honor local military members and heroes, will be put on display in the Savannah Mall Food Court.
Service members, family members, and retirees are invited out for games, contests and more.

Fort Pulaski National Monument Celebrates Nation's 237th Birthday
Family-friendly programs and musket firing demonstrations will be performed by park staff and volunteers dressed as Civil War soldiers. An entrance fee of $5 per person will be charged, but ages 15 and under are free.

Jekyll Island Independence Day Celebration
Families and friends are invited to pack a picnic and play in the sands at Great Dunes Park, attend a turtle release, then stick around for an evening fireworks display. A public fireworks display on beachfront park around 9 p.m.

The Home of the Brave Patriotic Concert
Performed by the Liberty County Community & Area Mass Choir. Two separate Hinesville performances.
WHEN: June 27, 6-7p.m. at the Downtown Hinesville Farmers Market at Bradwell Park (Bring lawn chairs and blankets); and again on June 29, 4-5 p.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 302 General Stewart, Hinesville.

Salute to the Nation Ceremony - Fireworks Display
Residents of communities neighboring Fort Stewart are invited to join 3rd Infantry Division soldiers, family members and Army civilians in the Salute to the Nation and in viewing the fireworks. Patriotic music will be provided by members of the 3rd Infantry Division Band prior to and during the ceremony. Pets, smoking, coolers, grills and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

A $5 donation per car is requested to help pay for fireworks. Event is sponsored by local fire departments. Refreshments will be sold. Bring chairs and blankets.

Second Annual “Love Loud” Picnic
The picnic is free and will offer barbecue sandwiches, sausage dogs, hot dogs, chips, homemade cake and sliced watermelon. Gospel music performed on grounds during event.

A musical celebrating America’s courage and commitment will be presented free to the community by the Liberty County Community & Area Mass Choir.

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2013 in observance of the Independence Day state holiday. Please remember that the days before and after a holiday are often extremely busy at DMV. Customers may want to choose another time to visit their local DMV office or process their transactions online at www.scdmvonline.com.
Parris Island will not host a celebration this year. Instead, the Parris Island Marine Band will perform a mix of patriotic music at the Sand's Beach in Port Royal at 7:30 p.m. on July 4th. Following the band's performance, a fireworks display, hosted by the town of Port Royal, will start at 9 p.m. All are welcome.
All Beaufort County Government offices will be closed on July 4 for the Holiday. These closures also include all County Library Branches, all Solid Waste Convenience Centers and all Park and Leisure Services (PALS) recreation centers. Offices will resume normal operating hours on July 5.
The Town of Bluffton’s government offices will be closed Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th for the Independence Day Holiday.
29th Annual Skull Creek 4th of July Celebration
This is a free community fireworks display launched from a barge in the Intracoastal Waterway/Skull Creek. Live entertainment will take place at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks, Chart House and Skull Creek Boathouse. Food and beverage will be available at all three locations.
